Purchase of puppy from our kennel "Wavelet"

The Spanish Water Dog is a breed, with the life span 12-18 years, therefore it is more than important to consider buying a dog, before you contact us. When you are buying a dog with the pedigree, the price should "play" the last role after considering following facts: the puppy from official FCI kennel has a verified origin, you can visit the enviroment, where puppy has grown up, parents are health tested and typical for the breed standard. It assures you, that you get the puppy of breed, you really wanted. And last but not least, the breeder will be available to you forever. Puppies without pedigree are NEVER purebred dogs. We do not sell puppies without FCI pedigrees. 

Hard decision - male or female? If you have children or you look for an active family member, we highly recommend males. They are more opened, brave, playful, calm meanwhile females can have due to hormones different "mood swings" during life, they do not trust to strangers and can also bark more.

Puppies from our kennel go to new homes:

•   regularly dewormed with antiparasitic medicine and tablets (Procox and Aniprantel or Cestal)

•   regularly vaccinated up to their current age (Nobivac)

•   marked by microchip (international ISO chip)

•   with an international passport valid in all countries

•   with FCI export pedigree exposed by Slovak kennel club valid in all FCI countries

•   socialized, accostumed to people, raised in the household and clinically healthy

•   registered in Slovak central veterinaty database of domestic animals

•   with a purchase contract

HEALTH GUARANTEE:

The parents of our future breedings are carefully selected by us and approved by commision of Slovak Club for Water Dogs. Parents of our puppies are obliged to compete at least at 3 dog shows (they must obtain 3x grade "Excellent"), they must pass the test of height meassurement and control of teeth and they must be health tested for selected tests by our club. We try to breed QUALITY but MOSTLY HEALTHY PUPPIES, therefore we focuse on testing of all possible genetic tests in this breed. Our puppies are coming from parents with:

•   Official certificate for Hip Dysplasia (HD) and Elbow Dysplasia (ED)

•   Official EESVO test for hereditary eye diseases including Gonio / Glaucome

•   LABOKLIN / official laboratory health genetic results: eo-PRA, PRA-prcd, CHG, NAD, DM, Brachyury

•   DNA-profil (verification of parents' origin) by official laboratory LABOKLIN

•   Official breeding exam lead by Slovak Club management together with FCI judge:

- control of height according to FCI standard (males 44cm-52cm and females 38-48cm)

- dogs must have all teeth and correct bite (scissors or pincer by FCI standard)

Although parents of our puppies are fully health tested for HIPS and ELBOWS, the HD or ED is degenerative and polygenic disease developing DURING adolescence time of puppy. Apart from testing parents and studying pedigrees, the breeder has no impact on the development. HD and ED can be caused also by external influences:

♦   Improper food (bad nutrition, too much of protein, overfeeding, malnutrition)

♦   House surface (wooden floor, slippery surface, stairs = carpets are recommended up to 12 months of age)

♦   Too much of physical activity, long walks, jumping, accident/bump, too much of running

Note:

♦   Dysplasia free parents cannot ensure you that puppy will be also free, this disease is individual in EACH dog 

♦   Joint nutrition/supplement is recommended from 8 weeks of age
